It’s Round 16 of the Betfred Championship this weekend, with just six ties taking place, due to the 1895 Cup semi-finals.
In Saturday’s only fixture, Barrow Raiders are back at home and will play Sheffield Eagles.
The Raiders are searching for a fourth straight win as they continue to battle near the top of the table. Meanwhile, the Eagles will look to return to winning ways.
The sides last clashed in Round 4, with the visitors pulling off a 22-6 victory.
On Sunday, a tasty West Yorkshire Derby awaits as Batley host Halifax. Both teams enter this match on the boosted by their emphatic wins in Round 15, which makes for an exhilarating encounter at the Fox’s Biscuits Stadium.
The Panthers have won their last six meetings with the Bulldogs across all competitions; interestingly dating back to the 2023 1895 Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.
The entertainment continues nearby in South Leeds as Hunslet take on Salford.
Salford’s first win of the campaign came against Hunslet back in Round 3…can they complete their first league double of the year?
Keighley Cougars will be keen to enact revenge on Newcastle Thunder this weekend after they were defeated by them 44-18 in Round 7.
It’s going to be a tough ask though - against a Thunder side who have won their last five matches very convincingly.
Then, there’s double the action happening in Cumbria. Whitehaven are aiming for a third successive win as they face North Wales Crusaders, whilst Workington host fourth-placed Oldham.
